Meet the ancients as a Texas Forest Service guide leads you across Southeast Texas to touch some of the largest trees in the state. The tour begins in Fort Worth at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13. Participants will check out some of the largest trees in Texas as they make their way to Lake Houston State Park, where they'll spend Friday night. On Saturday, the tour will go to Houston and then Brazoria County, stopping for the night in Freeport. The tour returns home Sunday. The cost is $250 and includes transportation, lodging, dinner on Friday and Saturday and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. The deadline to register is Nov. 10.
