Want to learn more about planting trees and shrubs in Southwest Texas? Then the Sun Country Landscape Conference is for you.

Los Tree Amigos, also known as the West Texas Urban Forestry Council, is hosting the Sun Country Landscape Conference on Nov. 6 at the Texas AgriLife Research Center at El Paso.

Those attending the all day conference should expect to learn the latest news in tree, shrub and plant care for the El Paso and Southwest region as well as tree care, pests, rainwater harvesting and new tools and technologies available.

The cost to register is $35 — or $25 for West Texas Urban Forestry Council members — and includes lunch as well as chances to win door prizes. It must be paid or postmarked by Oct. 23. The fee is $40 after that date.
