Daily Wildfire Situation Links

Fire Danger and Advisories - Provides current maps of weather, hydrologic and climate forecasts and warnings for the State of Texas.

Texas Interagency Incident Management Situation Report pdf file(pdf 35 kb) The incident management report consists of the current situation during fire season, weather outlook, safety tips and the number of fires and acreage affected.

Texas Wildfire and Incident Management Information - Summary of the current situation during fire season with additional resources which includes maps, documents monitoring wildfire risk and other pertinent information.

Burn Ban - Daily map of all counties with an active burn ban.

Central Branch
No wildfires reported at this time.

East Branch
Smith County (Fire # 211) N 32 28.045 W 95 31.969 - This 60 acre fire was contained at 5:00 p.m. Cause was an escape from burning brush piles. No structures were threatened. Location was near County Road 4135.

Anderson County (Fire # 212) N 31 34.512 W 95 38.941 - Two Texas Forest Service bulldozers have responded and began work at 4:30 p.m.

Nacogdoches County (Fire #213) N 31 46.682 W 94 33.167 - This five acre fire was controlled at 5:30 p.m. Cause was an escape from a controlled burn.

North Branch
Hunt County (Phillips Fire0 N 33 13.32 W 96 6.14 - Three homes were threatened in this 35 acre fire. It was 100 percent contained at 5:00 p.m. No structures lost.

South Branch

Evening update

Central Branch
Bastrop County (Octoberfest Trail Fire) N 30 14.287 W 97 16.773 - This one acre fire was controlled at approximately 4:00 p.m. Possible cause was lightening. A Camp Swift bulldozer and engine responded. A Texas Forest Service hand crew responded.

East Branch
Anderson County (Fire #208) N 31 43.085 W 95 21.366 - Location is off County Road 1225. Texas Forest Service forces arrived at 4:00 p.m. Size currently is estimated at 80 acres in an 8 year old pine plantation.

Gregg County (Fire # 206) This fire was reported yesterday as being in Rusk County. Size is 50 acres and it was controlled today at 4:00 p.m.

Smith County (Fire # 209) N 32 20.229 W 95 04.316 - Texas Forest Service forces arrived at 5:30 p.m. No further information at this time.

Trinity County (Fire #245) N 31 13.397 W 95 02.815 - This four acre fire was controlled at 5:00 p.m. Cause appears to be a camp fire.

East Branch
Rusk County (Fire #206) This fire is located near Sinclair. A fire department is on scene to help protect a nursing home. A Texas Forest Service bulldozer arrived at 5:30 p.m.

Cherokee County (Fire #207) A Texas Forest Service bulldozer arrived on scene at 5:00 p.m. No further information at this time.

San Jacinto County (Fire # 244) This two acre fire was in a pine plantation and was controlled at 4:30 p.m.

Sept. 6

Evening update

Central Branch
Comal County (Watson Lane Fire) N 29 47.290 W 98 02.778 - This fire was just reported to the Texas Forest Service and assistance has been requested by the local volunteer departments. One home is threatened and an explosive facility is threatened. There are possible evacuations. Location is seven miles northeast of New Braunfels. At this time only aviation assets are requested. Dispatched are an air attack aircraft (eyes in the sky, plus this plane supervises other aircraft), a type-1 helicopter and two single engine air tankers (SEATs).

East Branch
Tyler County (Fire #223) N 30 39.303 W 94 20.951 - This fire was two acres and was controlled at 2:30 p.m.

Walker County (Fire # 243) N 30 51.082 W 95 47.302 - This fire is currently 25 acres and is contained at 4:00 p.m.

North Branch
